   It is to be expected that there will be some messiness, particularly when using it for water plants. It is recommended to rinse the rocks off before use.

   I used these product in organza bags to create shoe fresheners. They effectively eliminated the odor from my husband’s smelly work boots within a weekend, although I recommend closing down the tongue of the boot. Additionally, they work well for his smelly cooler and can be conveniently carried in your purse to prevent odors. I am satisfied with the results and will definitely purchase them again.

   The product required thorough washing before use, but as they were intended for use as the bottom layer beneath substrate and sand, this was not a problem for my needs. While I did notice a few small dried plant stems mixed in with the gravel rocks, overall they were visually appealing and suitable for my project.

   I was impressed by the smooth, shiny, black pebbles. The quality and quantity exceeded my expectations for the price. Another plus is that they maintain their black color even when dry, without fading to grey.
