   I decided to switch some of my plants to LECA to be able to observe the root system as it grows. I am really enjoying this change. I wish I had bought an extra bag of balls to mix with these smaller ones, but they are getting the job done. 😉

   As an experienced Leca user and tropical plant enthusiast, I wanted to share my detailed review of this product. The first photo depicts the initial appearance of the Leca straight out of the bag, which appeared slightly dusty but did not have the typical sediment buildup found in cheaper alternatives. The second photo, taken with flash for brightness, shows the Leca after the first rinse.

   I mix leca with soil or a rooting medium to keep my pots light and prevent root rot. This product offers excellent value – a large bag at a great price – and performs wonderfully. I’ve successfully propagated numerous plants with this product!

   I’ve tried other types in the past, but I’ve settled on this one! The product matches exactly what’s shown in the description. I suggest soaking and rinsing them before using to avoid brown water during drainage. I utilize them at the base of larger pots, in propagation jars, or atop plants to deter cats. They are simple to reuse by separating them from the old soil and rinsing. While they may not be as visually appealing as some others, they are highly effective. Excellent quality and value…

   The bag that the product arrived in was torn upon opening the box, but fortunately, there was no damage done. The clay balls vary in size, but overall, my plants are thriving so I am satisfied. This product offers great value for its weight. I recommend using filtered rainwater or distilled water when switching from soil. Although my plants initially drooped after the transfer, they perked up the next morning!

   This product is a fantastic option for growing water plants or houseplants without the use of soil, eliminating the usual challenges associated with potted plants. I highly recommend it for beginners looking to start their indoor plant journey.
