Help Grow Better: Natural black lava rocks contain trace minerals that plants need to grow strong. Placing them at the bottom of pots helps water pool without drowning roots.
Ideal Drainage: Porous lava rocks absorb and slowly release excess water back to the plant, perfect for pots without drainage holes.
Ready to Use: Suitable for cacti, succulents, and bonsai plants as a top dressing to provide nutrients for better growth.
Multifunctional: Besides plant decor, these rocks can also be used in landscaping, garden, ponds, fish tanks, Fire Pit Bowls, Gas Logs, and Fireplaces.
Natural Lava Rock: Crushed lava rock ensures quick drainage, maintains some water, and offers mineral supplements. Color changes between wet and dry states.

The size was just right for me, I plan to use it as a top dressing.

I follow the recommended ratio of 1/3 pumice, 1/3 akadama, and 1/3 lava for my bonsai mix. I have consistently used this specific lava in my mix, and it has been effective. Despite its small size, I find it suitable for my needs. It’s important to choose black lava over red to avoid harming your trees.

The rock is a suitable size for bonsai and succulents. The only drawback was the presence of plastic mixed within the rock, such as shredded plastic bag material. While it wasn’t a significant amount and did not cause any harm, I would have preferred a cleaner product overall.

The product is exactly as shown, but the quantity is quite small considering the price.

The size of the stone is quite diminutive.

I purchased these as a substrate supplement for my terrariums and carnivorous plants, and they are perfect! They are just the right size, comparable to a pencil eraser. If needed, you can further break them down with a hammer. An affordable alternative to bonsai akadama and vermiculite.

I was very impressed with this product, the lava rocks were uniformly sized which was great. The only downside was that it was quite dusty. I suggest sifting and cleaning the rocks thoroughly to get rid of the dust before using them, especially if you intend to use them in an aquarium.

I purchased this product to create my own DIY semi-hydroponic system. I combined 2 parts of this lava rock with 2 parts of pumice (similar in size) and 1 part crushed zeolite. The results have been fantastic so far. My alocasia, philodendron, tradescantia, and ficus elastica plants are all flourishing in the semi-hydroponic setup using this lava rock.
