I combined this product with my Cactus and Succulent soil to improve drainage, and I was happy with the outcome.

This product is definitely perlite. It is an excellent soil amendment that helps with drainage. The bag size is small, suitable for around 3 small pots. I actually needed a larger bag, but overall, it is good quality and the real deal.
