I was quite disappointed with this product from Amazon. I felt like I was swindled as I paid about $6 for what seemed to be just a small amount of sand. I admit that I should have visually checked the quantity rather than relying on weight, but it still doesn’t sit right with me. The bag was sealed, so I don’t think any sand was missing, but it was not ideal for my small terrarium as it was also dirty when I put it in water. I was impressed with how clean and rinsed this product was when it arrived. Unlike most rock and gravel I purchase for aquarium hardscapes, it was not dusty or dirty. Highly recommend!

The stones are smaller than they appear in the picture, more akin to sand. While I was initially surprised by their size, I found them to be a good product if you’re seeking something small. Despite their size, they are quite attractive and I was able to use them effectively by layering larger stones on top. Mixing them with my existing larger stones created a visually pleasing effect. Ultimately, I decided not to return them and am satisfied with their contribution to my project.

The rock sand looks just like it does in the picture and really enhances the appearance of my air plant hanging terrarium.
