This product effectively retains the right amount of moisture to promote root development without the risk of infections. Its optimal pH level supports maximum nutrient absorption, combined with mycorrhizae, creating a strong foundation for plant growth. The exceptional texture of this mix minimizes clean-up efforts, as it prevents fine potting mixes from seeping through the bottom during watering. I am impressed by the reliability and quality of this mix and will definitely be purchasing it…

I have a Christmas cactus named Frank that holds a special place in my heart. He has been a constant companion during difficult times in my life. I ensure his well-being by providing him with sunlight, bottled water, fresh air, and occasionally replenishing his soil and nutrients. I only trust the best for Frank, and this soil certainly delivered. After a simple application of the nutrient-rich soil, Frank has flourished. His appearance is vibrant and healthy, as if he just returned from a…

UPDATE: I recently found a large piece of wood in one of the bags which could affect the weight of the contents. While still a good product overall, I wouldn’t want to pay for driftwood instead of the intended product. I’ve used it for house transplants and my plants are thriving. I’ve also started seedlings with ‘Roots Indoor’ and they are growing strong, ready to be transplanted outdoors. I’ve repurchased the larger size after this discovery.

I am really impressed with this product! I usually buy 1+ lb bricks, but decided to go for the 10lb block this time. The block easily splits into two big squares, which was convenient. I used half of the block and was amazed at how much coir it expanded into. I mixed it with perlite and worm castings for my grow bags, and the results have been fantastic. The coir has excellent water retention and drainage properties, leading to great growth in my plants. I chose this block for its…

I am currently dealing with gnat season, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this soil was gnat-free. This cactus soil is of top-notch quality, containing just the right amount of perlite and even a rare stick. The soil was dry with some clumping, but that didn’t affect its performance. I recently repotted a large aloe plant, a Christmas cactus, and a baby saguaro cactus using this soil, and all three have not only recovered but are thriving. The quantity and quality of soil provided…
Gabe & Kacey – May 11, 2024
I use 5 scoops of this product in a pot, and it provides a strong boost of energy! However, it tends to leave a noticeable black residue around the mouth and may stain the teeth black.
Becca Arbogast – May 28, 2024
Update: After about a month, I noticed new growth on my seedlings, which was a pleasant surprise. The product still lacks a smell, and I didn’t observe any gnats. However, it’s important to note that this potting mix is not suitable for outdoor use. I mistakenly placed my planter outside, resulting in the death of my plants the following day. This was my error and not a fault of the product. For indoor use, this potting mix is worth trying. Initially, I was not impressed by the appearance…

The product itself is of high quality and serves its purpose well, although working with coir is generally straightforward. I ordered three 10 lb blocks, but only one was accurately within the weight range of 10 lbs (+/- 2 oz). One block was 40% underweight and another more than 20% underweight. The company did eventually rectify the situation by sending me two complete blocks, which was generous of them. However, their communication and replacement process were quite slow. Ultimately, they…
