   The product has a bit of dust on it, but it is gravel that works really well when mixed with fluorite for live plants. There isn’t much more to add, just small rocks that sink in water.

   I initially considered purchasing regular sand from a department store but decided to go with this product instead. I must say, the difference it makes to the appearance of my lush green aquatic plants is remarkable. The substrate not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also creates a unique atmosphere, especially when paired with proper lighting. It truly exudes a beauty reminiscent of the dark brown and black substrates that are typically seen.

   This gravel has a fine texture that closely resembles a sand substrate. It requires multiple rinses to remove all the dust and debris, but the effort is worthwhile. The gravel has a beautiful shimmer that enhances the appearance of your tank.

   I am delighted with this product. It has a fantastic appearance and is incredibly user-friendly. It’s definitely worth the investment!! I have been gradually transitioning all my tanks to this exceptional substrate!!! My fish are all thriving and in excellent health!!

   This product is not fine sand or small gravel, but rather large sand. It is easy to work with and gentle on bottom-dwelling creatures compared to gravel. The natural color may bleed a bit during preparation, requiring multiple rinses and soaks over two days before adding it to the tank. It has a subtle sparkle under light without creating glare.    Ever since I switched to this product, my fish tank has flourished. The plants are thriving without the need for fertilizers, and the overall look is quite attractive. I even added some additional rocks to enhance the natural aesthetic.

   The product arrives pre-washed, but I prefer to give it an additional wash in a bucket with a hose. I make sure to dechlorinate the water before adding the clean sand to the tank. Using a cup to scoop the sand into the tank is a much simpler process than pouring it in. The result is a clear and visually pleasing appearance. It’s worth noting that the sand has only been in the tank since last night.

   I adore the color, however, there are brown specks scattered throughout which detract from its appearance. Additionally, the product contains a significant amount of dust that is too fine to rinse out effectively.

    The product description is spot on – the jet black fine sand is exactly as described. This is my third time purchasing this product. The only issue I have encountered is the need to rinse, rerinse, and rinse again at least five more times. Just when you think you’re done and the water runs clear, it’s recommended to rinse one more time for good measure.
