   I recently added this product to my plants and although they appear well-built and strong, I am uncertain of how effective they will be for their intended purpose. I gave it 4 stars because despite being advertised as “mini,” they are actually quite large. I purchased them thinking they would be suitable for my 5-inch potted African Violets, but they turned out to be too big (comparable to the size/thickness of a thumb). The instructions suggest cutting them in half for pots smaller than 8…

   I bought these small spikes for my African Violet which was doing okay. I decided to place them in the container and within just a month, the blooms suddenly burst into life and have been thriving ever since! I highly recommend these spikes for plant growth.
